The 4th English Radio Drama Competition for Schools in Hong Kong & Macau

Let's create your own radio drama and have a chance to perform LIVE at the Y Theatre, Youth Square in May 2012!

This competition is co-organized by Smart Education Charitable Foundation, Rotary Club of Bayview Sunshine of Hong Kong and Theatre Noir. We are also very glad to have the support from BBC Learning English.

MAIN THEME:
ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER:
"Humanity"
Students attending full-time schools in Hong Kong and Macao are eligible to enter the competition. Students can form a team of no more than 5 members and submit a 5-minute play-script of a radio programme.

Primary P.4 to P.6
Secondary S.1 to S.6

TIMELINE:  
20 January 2012 Phase 1 Deadline for scripts submission

10 February 2012 Announcement of the 30 semifinalists (15 teams from each division)
2 March –
3 March 2012
Phase 2 Voice training workshops
28 March 2012 Deadline for the radio drama submission
- Submit a 5-minute radio drama in MP3 format with the script online

30 March –
13 April 2012 (12pm)
Phase 3 Vote for the most popular drama online
- The radio dramas will be uploaded to the website allowing the public to vote for the "Most Popular Performance Award": http://www.mysmartabc.com/drama
26 April 2012 Announcement of the finalists entering the Final Competition
- 5 teams from each division will compete in front of a live audience and a panel of adjudicators.
12 May 2012 Final Competition and Prize Giving Ceremony
- At Y Theatre, Youth Square
