We are all winners! Posted by Smart Education, Rotary Club & Theatre Noir (July 8, 2010) The final and prize-giving ceremony of the 2nd English Radio Drama Competition for Hong Kong & Macao Schools was successfully held at Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts on July 4, 2010. It was an afternoon full of fun, creativity and excitement: 16 teams participated in our final and they performed their radio drama LIVE in front of our judges and audience. They all did an excellent job, and our judges were very impressed with each team’s performance. Well done! Kelvin Kwan, a popular singer, was our special guest and he performed and shared his experience with our audience. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Sean Keegan and Ms. Feifei Feng of the BBC who came all the way from London to be our judges for the competition. We hope that you all enjoyed the 2nd English Radio Drama Competition for Hong Kong & Macao Schools, and look forward to your active participation again next year. Vote for your favourite radio drama! Posted by Smart Education, Rotary Club & Theatre Noir (May 24, 2010) Thank you again for your support in our 2nd Interschool English Radio Drama Competition. We have just uploaded the radio drama audio files and scripts from the short-listed teams onto our website, and it's time for you to vote! You can vote for your favourite radio drama for each level. Listen to the radio drama performances from the short-listed teams, and vote! Each person can cast one vote per day for each level. You can vote from now till June 4, 2010. The team from each level with the most number of votes will win the "Most Popular Performance" award. The Most Popular Radio Drama Performance Award will be announced on July 4, 2010 at our final competition and prize giving ceremony. Winners will be invited to the ceremony to receive their trophies. Phase 1 results are in!!! Posted by Smart Education, Rotary Club & Theatre Noir (April 9, 2010) Our judges have selected the following teams to enter Phase 2 of our competition! We are extremely pleased with the quality of your radio drama scripts submitted in Phase 1. Many teams have tied scores, and therefore we are inviting more than 15 teams to enter Phase 2 of our competition. These short-listed teams are also invited to participate in our workshop on script writing and voice training on one of the following days: April 16, 17, 23 or 24 at Theatre Noir’s studio. Invitation letters and details have been sent to the teams to inform you which training sessions you will be attending. We will also call you in the next few days. The 2nd English Radio Drama Competition for Hong Kong & Macau Schools Posted by Smart Education, Rotary Club & Theatre Noir (15 March 2010) Thank you for your support in our 2nd English Radio Drama Competition. We are overwhelmed with the schools' active participation in this competition: over 300 teams from 90+ schools submitted their drama scripts in the first round of the competition! Our judges will select 15 teams from each division entering Phase 2 competition. We will announce the short-listed teams on April 9 2010. These short-listed teams have a valuable chance to participate in our workshops on script writing and voice training on April 17 2010 (Saturday) at Theatre Noir’s Studio. We will send Invitation letters to these teams and post the result online. Reminder: Short-listed teams must submit the 5-minute radio drama (in MP3 format) with the script to us BEFORE May 20 2010.
